Outreach Clinics
Our outreach programme is at the heart of Dolphin House's ethos. We provide complementary treatments to children and in particular those from families on low income. We deliver a number of outreach clinics in and around Brighton & Hove, including Tarner, Moulsecoomb, Hollingdean and Whitehawk.
We work in partnership with local schools and Children's Centres and take the majority of our referrals come primarily from local health and community workers, as well as midwives. This enables us to meet the needs of hard to reach families and provide them with an integrated approach to their overall healthcare. Our therapist in Moulsecoomb for example, took referrals from the post natal depression and from the mother and baby groups located at the Children's Centre.
Through our outreach service we treat children and mothers, including pregnant mums. The children on average were aged up to ten years old and are experiencing a range of problems, including skin conditions and allergies, hyperactivity, insomnia, asthma - to mention a few.
The adults we treat have a range of conditions, including depression and anxiety conditions, post natal depression, alcohol dependency and/or heroin and other drug dependencies, post traumatic stress syndrome, physical problems arising during pregnancy or ante natal period, as well as more common problems such as irregularities in their menstrual cycle, recurrent infections and irritable bowel syndrome etc.
