A mum turns to complementary treatments for their son
Thie mum wrote to Dolphin House to tell us about the transformative effect our work has had on her son:
Peter was born a healthy baby boy. When he was 18 months he caught a cold which developed into a bad chest infection. He was prescribed antibiotics which cleared it up, but he needed further medication a week later to treat a urine infection.
At age two Peter developed a cough which lingered and became chronic. After three courses of antibiotics, three different types of inhalers and countless sleepless nights, he was eventually diagnosed with whooping cough - even although he has been vaccinated. His final course of antibiotics was cut short due to a bad reaction. From this point on Peter seemed susceptible to regular colds and was perpetually coughing. Each time he was offered antibiotics.
His mum, Barbara decided it was time to stop using antibiotics and brought Peter to Dolphin House's Children's Clinic on New Road, Brighton. He was treated by our Medical Herbalist and the results described by his mum where almost instantaneous. Peter's recurring colds became the kind of colds that all children have - his coughing disappeared and overall he became much brighter and healthier. It is almost a year since his mum took Peter to the GP.
Mum says: "I am now able to relax when Peter has a typical cold, which is now rare and I no longer worry that it is going to affect his chest as this literally doesn't happen anymore. Breaking the habit of taking antibiotics and treating Peter with complementary treatments has been the best decision I have ever made about his health."

A six month old boy benefits from our outreach clinic
Joe had a condition called Plagiocephaly - it is a common finding at birth due to pressure in the womb and can change the growth pattern in the skull which results in a diamond shaped head. His mum writes:

A child's recurring ear infection is cleared up
A ten month old baby called Benjamin had a recurring ear infection which amounted to one infection for every month of his life. Because of this his sleep was also severely affected. Benjamin was referred to a pediatrician six times and neither antibiotics or steroids worked for him. Since having two homeopathy treatments he has had no more ear infections and his sleep is normal for a child his age
