Michele Karban UKCP: Integrative Arts Psychotherapy For Children, Young People and Adults
Michele Karban did a three-year training in Integrative Art Psychotherapy at The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education in London. Michele has also done further training in working therapeutically with children and young people. She is a member of the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy and as such abides by their code of ethics.
Michele has had many years experience working with children and adults in the private and public sector. Michele currently sees children and young people at the Children's Clinic at Dolphin House and also sees adults and children within her private practise. The Integrative Art Psychotherapy approach is humanistic and draws upon arrange of theoretical models as well more traditional psychotherapeutic theory. Humanistic psychotherapy is an approach, which tries to justice to the whole person including mind, body and spirit. The therapeutic relationship is the vehicle for experience, growth and change. Art materials such as paint, clay, sandtray and figures are available in the therapy sessions this is to enable the client the fullest potential in exploring their situation and issues.
Michele offers short and long term therapy. Sessions are 50 minutes in length.
