Homeopathy has been established for about 200 years. It is a complete system of medicine and can be used to treat all kinds of illnesses, from emotional to physical diseases. It is a safe, holistic system that works with the body's own healing processes. Every person is unique and our response when ill is also unique. Homeopathy recognises this in the way it treats people as individuals, helping them to regain health and maintain a sense of well-being.
On your first appointment, your homeopath will need to know all about you. A detailed understanding of who you are, along with any complaints and details of how you experience them is needed to assess your case correctly. After your consultation, you will be given a homeopathic remedy which matches your symptoms, usually in the form of a tablet, or tablets. After taking your remedy, you may notice some changes. Some patients experience a period of exceptional well-being. Sometimes your symptoms can appear to get worse for a short while before they get better. You may like to make a note of any changes to discuss with your homeopath at your next appointment.
